Our mission: To cover established and up and coming producers/DJs/musicians in Detroit’s diverse electronic music scene, interesting city developments and provide community service.

Our format: We release an 8X8, full color, perfect bound, high quality art print magazine. It comes with an LP featuring artists interviewed. Content is available free on-line on our website www.detroiteq.com (in the issues section.) We also have 4X4 mini issues that are free, promotional and fun.

Our releases: We print two times annually, covering four quarters of the year.

Our distribution: Each print edition is for sale (MSRP $25) and is globally distributed by FIT Distribution, a company devoted to promoting Detroit’s independent artists to the world. Locally, the magazines can be found in fine record stores, book stores and boutiques around the city.

Our advertisers: We choose who advertises with us and, because of their relevance/affiliation to our music scene and good works for Detroit, we consider ads to be part of our content.

RELEASE DATES
Monday, May 21: 4X4 Memorial Day Week after party guide: 60 mini pages, black and white, full with curated party listings (provided by the gurus at the detroitilove.com), interviews with Jason Huvaere of Paxahau and the Detroit Berlin Connection, and suggestions on where to shop for records, eat, and more! Last year people used our guide as a crucial resource and this year’s edition proves to be even more helpful! (1,500 hard copies + digital viewing)
Thursday, May 24: 8×8 Double Issue (13&14) with 8 track LP: 70+pages of interviews and fun and comes with an LP featuring Detroit producers Big Strick, Kevin Reynolds, Pablo R. Ruiz (Portage Garage Sounds), Eddie Logix, MOODRING (Planet E), Lafleur, Shady P (as Bobbi Purify), and the Belmont Boys. Interviews with producers listed above and Diviniti, Craig Huckaby, Innerstate Gallery, Summer Oasis crew, promoter Tom Gelardi, top 10s from the Detroit Techno Militia and more!! (500 hard copies + digital viewing)
